Gina Cody School Entrepreneurship Society
Building the entrepreneurs of tomorrow at Concordia University.

ABOUT US
We are the Gina Cody School Entrepreneurship Society (GCES), an engineering & computer science student association led by 18 dedicated and passionate like-minded individuals. We have been growing since 2020, hosting online and in person events, workshops, panels and more to help Engineering and computer science students gain entrepreneurial skills and opportunities.
Every year we host UpStart, an inter-university entrepreneurship competition at Concordia University where students come to learn new skills and put their entrepreneurial strategies to the test.
Our Mission
GCES operates with one goal in mind: igniting the entrepreneurial spirit of Engineering
students at Concordia University.
We do so by following these three principles:
Educate
GCES aims to educate potential entrepreneurs by offering workshops that promote initiating businesses.
Nurture
GCES aims to nurture student-innovators by providing opportunities to learn and experience entrepreneurship.
Connect
GCES aims to connect student-innovators through a centralized hub and a network of like-minded individuals

EVENTS
We’ve hosted multiple in-person and online events and each year keeps getting better. Workshops, panels, competitions, networking events and a lot more! Our presence around campus helps connect hundreds of engineering students who wish to set a foot in the entrepreneurial world.
